Practice Quizzes

One of the most important features of the Magna dashboard includes practice quizzes on any given topic. Students in high school often find it hard to obtain resources to study for an AP exam because textbooks are hard to access and other online resources can be very expensive as well. At Magna, students can easily sign up and start practicing quizzes almost immediately on topics they are interested in or need to study for a class! 

For any course a student wants to practice in, they can create a quiz and choose the level of difficulty from a vast question bank. Students can also choose which type of question they would like to practice, ranging from Multiple Choice with Stimulus to Free Response questions particular to the specific AP course. There are some other features students can choose as well, including the number of questions and if they would like to time themselves for each quiz. 

During each question on our practice quizzes, students can exercise any of these features: toggle between questions, eliminate choices a student thinks is incorrect, and see how much time remaining per question (we record time spent on each question for the student’s reference!). 

We also have a feature where students can rate how each question is out of 5 stars in the top-right corner, prompting our AI agents to review their feedback and improve question generation for the next time anyone takes a practice quiz. 

Progress Dashboard 

On our main dashboard when a student exits a practice quiz or clicks on “Dashboard” under “MAGNA FOR STUDENTS,” they can see their recent quiz records and progress by topic. Curated by data-driven analytics that display graphs with peaks and dips in performance, we aim to provide students optimal feedback in helping them understand their areas of weakness and strengths, to boost their scores.

Students can also view their performance under “Recent Quizzes” and click on each quiz to see their scores and mistakes instantly. When a student also opens their completed quizzes, we have a post-evaluation chatbot (Ask Magna) that appears instantly on questions they answered incorrectly to help them identify their mistakes. Students are also encouraged to ask our chatbot any type of question, as it has the full capability to respond to any type of query. 

An Online Classroom 

Another feature of Magna Education is its “Classes” feature for both teachers and students to access. Teachers have access to piloting their courses and assigning practice quizzes, which is especially helpful for AP courses, where students need practice to become competent in their subject and prepare for the AP exam.

The biggest feature of teachers administrating an online classroom on the Magna dashboard is that they can immediately get scores and records when a student completes a practice quiz. They also don’t have to provide manual feedback for each student, with the AI agents and chatbot covering any gaps in a student’s answer and explaining the steps to correct their mistake.  

Teachers can also see common trends in questions missed on a practice quiz with real-time data analytics that display class averages and data points. Thus, they can trade their time and energy to heed the gaps in their classes and develop lessons that are timely and targeted, rather than spend time tediously on grading and giving feedback. 

The Overall Benefits 

Recently, Magna conducted a case study, showing that Magna students were three times more likely to achieve the highest AP score of 5 compared to students who did not use our platform.
